Note about speeds:
ADSL (Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Lines) based products are currently limited to a maximum of 768Kb/s upload at LLU exchanges and within all BT exchanges to 256Kb/s
SDSL (Synchronous Digital Subscriber Lines) based products are the same upstream speed as downstream, but require a dedicated SDSL capable BT phone line.

The sexist-pigs that do our web-design thought it would be the best way of "spicing" it up a bit.
After-all there's not much you can say to glamourise a BT length of copper wire providing a quality internet access service.
We tried hard, we really did.
At one point we even placed a lace stole around our own ADSL router and doused it down in Calvin Klein Obsession - but to be perfectly honest even that didn't make it any more attractive.

Leased Lines
A leased line is an always-on connection between two points, for a fixed annual fee (no call charges apply).
It is ideal for companies interconnecting offices, and provides a far more cost-effective solution than traditional connectivity methods, such as modem and ISDN.
Leased lines are for exclusive use and so maintain a simple 1:1 contention - meaning there is guaranteed bandwidth available at all times, unlike standard ADSL.
A fixed annual fee means you can set a budget in advance, safe in the knowledge that you are in control of your telecoms/connection costs.
